Just switched over to Zen with CityFibre installation

Matt at Zen sales was friendly, thorough and helpful without being pushy. The installation process went mostly as well as expected. The CityFibre teams were polite and professional and installed the new equipment as I wanted and did a good job with the cabling. They attached the Fritzbox router for me and gave advice on when it should be working properly. I have conducted broadband tests and speeds have been as good as advised as has the wireless range of the router. The quality of my digital voice landline is much better than my copper wire landline. So I am pleased overall so far. A couple of minor criticisms. The first CityFibre team turned up without warning the morning after I had made the order! This was for external work to check they could cable up to my house. Impressed at their reaction time, but an email or text to say they were coming would have been nice. Zen advised me it would be a couple of weeks or so before the first visit. The second CityFibre team turned up within the allocated morning timeslot two weeks later of which I had plenty of notice, but they did not send a text on the day to say it would be late in that slot. I was expecting a text as a CityFibre email suggested I would get one to confirm they were on their way. Also I had to provide my own dust sheets to protect my carpet and I had to vacuum up afterwards and throw away packaging and other rubbish they had left. I had got the impression beforehand that CityFibre would leave things as they found them as far as possible before departing. Not a big problem for me, but would they have done it for me had I been disabled or infirm? So very close to giving five stars, but not quite.
