A Health & Safety issue
I bought 2 identical SQ professional kettles and both developed the same fault, namely dripping boiling water out onto the work surface and all over the electric base. I firstly filled in an on-line form but never had a reply so after a week I telephoned to be told someone would contact me, they never did. After a while I again phoned, spoke to a different person, only to be phobbed off again. I then insisted on speaking to a manager. The manager was also unhelpful and only because of my unwillingness to drop the issue she eventually agreed to send out some return labels so that the kettles could be returned and examined, but she stressed that could take about 4 months. As a trained Health & Safety Representative I am now thinking about taking the matter to the H&S Executive, so concerned am I about the possible lethal danger that these kettles pose. You would think that a company would move heaven and earth if someone was reporting a dangerous problem. Not this company.
