Poor service and communication

Placed ordering on 27th, to be delivered on 30th for a birthday. DPD still await the parcel on the 5th, 8 days later. I was assisted with the order in the shop by a very nice sales person,, and was assured the parcel would be delivered on time, if I was correctly informed , I would not have made the purchase with Lifestyle. I could have purchased the item at a variety of sport shops, either on line or directly. Very disappointed with the communication and service.
