Unable to cope with a change of bank details!
I always opted for automatic monthly repayments of the full balance and these were set up to be paid out of my HSBC France current account. However HSBC France's personal accounts were taken over by CCF Bank of France from 1st January 2024. All payees of standing orders and direct debits were notified of the new account details and during a transition period up to 31st December 2024 payments requested still using the old HSBC details were automatically paid out of the new CCF account. CCF notified me at least 3 times during 2024 that some payees had not adopted the new account details and advised me to contact them directly. Advanzia were one of these companies and I used their website to update the information in the method of payment section during the late summer 2024. They appear to have taken no notice whatsoever of either the bank's notifications or my own manual update and as a result the January 2025 payment has failed. I was informed of this on 21 January 2025. In addition since I am outside France throughout the winter their website is inaccessible so I am unable to attempt the account change for a second time. They have not responded to date to my explanation sent the same day in response to their notification of non-payment
