My experience with Panek was a nightmare. After hiring a car in Poznań and returning it without a single scratch, they charged me the full £930 deposit, claiming "damage" that didn’t exist. Their customer service was evasive, providing no transparency or justification. The only way I managed to get my money back was by persistently disputing the charge with my credit card provider. I strongly encourage anyone facing similar issues to do the same and bypass Panek’s useless customer service altogether. It seems Panek’s shady practices are well-documented. There is even an article on Polish news site Wyborcza which details how Panek profit from falsely claiming damages, particularly targeting foreign customers: Do yourself a favour—avoid Panek at all costs. Their business model relies on unethical tactics, and you’re better off renting from a more reputable company.
