Absolute rip-off merchants
Absolute rip-off merchants. They'll provide you with a quote and by the time you get to the end of the process they've added a ridiculous amount of unnecessary fees which will be hidden within all of the small print and jargon. When we argued it we were told that it could have been worse and they could have added a lot more fees if they wanted to but didn't?! DO NOT take the advice of any estate agent who recommends them, look for a local firm who won't rip you off like Conveyancing Direct. We had a straight forward chain free move with a cash buyer and our completion statement totaled over £6.5k!! They've now left us struggling financially and we've since been to two other Solicitors and a financial advisor who have all confirmed our Completion Statement is absolutely outrageous and so have now gone to the financial ombudsman. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
