My first electric bike

I bought my Dallingridge Malvern electric bike from Electric Rider about a month ago. It's my first electric bike. I had researched many in the lower price range before settling on this. The bike is great. No unnecessary bells and whistles. I've been riding the 10 miles to work through London each day - and I hadn't ridden in a year or so before. It makes it much easier to choose to cycle, knowing hills are no longer a worry, plus you feel much safer taking off from lights in traffic. And because I'm doing more exercise than I was - even though it is assisted - I have already lost about three kilos! I haven't let the battery get close to going down to zero. I've charged it after about 30 miles. But depending on what setting you use, you could get close to 50 miles, I guess. Beware, though, it is heavy. You wouldn't want to carry it upstairs, or have to pedal home if the battery were flat. Also, you will need to find an independent bike shop for repairs - the major shops are unlikely to touch it. I had two punctures (I think I had poor inner tubes because they burst on the inside of the tube). My local bike shop agreed to change the rear one. They also said they'd be willing to service the bike. Halfords did the front one when it went, but wouldn't touch the rear. Halfords also replaced the front rotor because it was unusually bent. Electric Rider covered the cost under warranty, swiftly transferring money to my account for the work done.
