Scammed for extra insurance
I could give 0 stars if I could. I rented a car via discover cars and paid for premium insurance with them. Once I arrived at the airport they forced me to pay for additional insurance for over £140 which was more than half of cost of renting a car. They said if I didn’t purchase it they will not hand me the car over. I read now it’s a common practice with these companies they try to make extra money on insurance. The sales guy called their office as I was refusing to pay and the guy over the phone said exactly the same thing that I must pay for extra insurance. I tried to argue that they have a business agreement with discover cars and it’s not my fault but they said it is because I booked it cheap! What a nonsense.
