Finally, no more surge pricing nightmares
Took a ride from downtown LA to LAX last Friday at 5pm — peak rush hour — and paid exactly what the upfront fare quote said: $34.50. No surge, no surprise. I've been burned so many times by other apps tripling prices during storms or events. The live GPS tracking was smooth the whole way and my driver called me through the masked number so I never had to share my real digits. Ryde just earned a permanent spot on my phone.
