The one-time rider code thing actually works
Skeptical driver here. I've had enough sketchy pickups to appreciate the one-time code system — passenger has to read me the code before I start the trip, full stop. Had a situation last month where someone tried to hop in claiming to be my rider and didn't have the code. Turned out the actual passenger was still walking out of the building. That alone is worth a lot to me. Commission is great too, especially on longer fares. Selfie match on login caught a buddy who borrowed my phone 'just to check something' — system flagged it immediately.
