Bad Experience

We received a letter stating major leak, and our water will cost 12k a year!!!! My husband called Anglian Water immediately on receipt of the letter on Sat 22nd Oct, we were told it is our responsibility to locate the leak. Our Saturday plans were then cancelled!!! Found a company to attend that day who located the leak outside our house (front patio was taken up). We called Anglian water back to advise that the leak had been found and we have been advised that it is their responsibility to fix, due to the location and believe this has been caused as a result of the smart meter. Thurs 27th Oct, I arranged to work from home as an engineer was due to attend, he knocked on the door and was really apologetic, he had been sent out to detect the leak, (I thought as a company you couldn't detect leaks, that was our responsibility!!!) which he could see had already been found!!! Waste of time for all parties concerned!!! Considering our letter stated it was a major leak and we needed to sort it asap, I would have thought this would have been dealt with by yourselves ASAP! After my husband made a follow up call, we finally had the leak fixed on Fri 4th Nov, since the leak has been fixed, our toilets and kitchen tap have broken, again another Saturday calling out a plumber, to be told the surge in water pressure has caused this! Furthermore, our credit rating was affected as our account is in query!! We are still out of pocket for the plumber call outs, our time wasted and the stress this has caused, extremely poor and slow service!!!
