Awesome Safari trip…
My husband, his son and I had the most spectacular safari adventure at Selous Impala Camp in the Nyerere National Park, Tanzania. The camp was excellent - just the right combination of natural rustic accommodation blending into its stunning setting next to the Rufiji river and personal comfort and safety. The whole camp team were superb, as was the food - a surprise birthday cake and celebration for me was a joy! Our guide Frank was exceptional - knowledgeable, a skilful tracker and great educator who took time to answer our questions and, most importantly for us, he showed enormous respect for the wildlife in this precious landscape. We spent the final days of our trip relaxing and doing some diving at the Breezes Resort in Zanzibar - attractive spacious rooms set in beautiful well-tended gardens with excellent food, a friendly staff team and plenty of comfortable spaces in the public areas to relax in the shade with sea views. Our travel specialist, Marcha Bauerlein-de Jong, was brilliant - taking time to listen, discuss and plan everything perfectly to the last detail and making time for video calls before we left to go through any last queries and post trip for feedback. Nothing was too much trouble and we were well supported with a couple of unavoidable issues during our journey which were dealt with promptly and efficiently. We would highly recommend contacting Marcha to anyone wanting to plan such a trip. She gave us invaluable advice with details like visas, local insurance, etc. The information pack she provided and the App with all our tip details were extremely useful.
