I've been with touchstone for 1 year…
I've been with touchstone for 1 year now. This is my honest review and what you REALLY get if you join the Wealth Academy for £15,000: Basic fundamental property investment courses. There were some advanced tips in there that were helpful. The courses will cover a total of 8 different strategies. You can realistically get 70% of the information from Youtube or any other established training provider. 10 x 1 hour Q&A sessions with mentors every week. Each Q&A has a different theme. These are one of the best things going on for the Academy. Though sometimes tricky to utilize with a fulltime job and anything more detailed you will get refered to your monthly mentorship session. And drum roll.. 20 minutes a month 1-1 mentorship for 12 months. Although they have recently introduced a 40 minute starter session to discuss your business and action plan for the year. (now its 50 minutes due to continued complaints). Whatsapp group and Facebook community with other academy members. A good opportunity to reach out to others on the same journey or ahead of you. Big Plus. Lifetime access to Quarterly Deal Clinics. An opportunity to meet other academy members and network, submit your own deal on stage and get it analyzed by a mentor. Also a chance to promote their partners. A monthly webinar where Paul shares some interesting golden nuggets (some info can be repetitive, but thats because I watch almost everything). Friendly Admin Staff that try their best (huge turnover of staff, check glassdoor reviews). I've had to take a 6 month break during my 12 months of 'mentorship' because I was overwhelmed ( like MANY other members) and because you only get 20 minutes a month of mentorship time (not exaggerating). I wanted to save it for when I really needed it. IF you are still going to join the academy, I would recommend to not start your 12 months for as long as you can;use that time to fully educate yourself. If you are looking for 1 on 1 coaching or mentoring, this is NOT the place. If it is your last £15K DO NOT JOIN, Unless you are prepared to dedicate an unbelievable amount of time to it, alone most of the time. If you already have lots of money and properties and you dont mind throwing 15K for networking opportunities and useful investment tips, then yea go for it. Few other extras: The faces of the company are nowhere to be seen after they sell you the dream. HMO course was taken down for a good 5 months during my time there (still down). There has been no improvements throughout the 12 months. Only updated the same courses with same information but newer slides design. If youre thinking of doing offplans with them, I'd urge you to speak to other people who have done any off-plans with them if its your last bit of money. I've had to work so hard all by myself to make some progress because there wasnt enough support for 15K.You have to create your own networking groups and gatherings and your own power team (they recommend a couple contacts but its not enough). Money back garantee is very difficult to get and even more work to get a case successful. I ended up joining other communities/academies for better support. Conclusion: I would put a fair price tag of £9/10K for the academy not more for people just starting out. I think they should use their money to improve the academy big time or they will end up with alot of bitter members. They should work on their business model a bit I reckon, if they cant offer more. I wouldnt say its a scam, but fluffed up well enough to be slightly disappointing down the line. Many would echo my thoughts. If you need more information, you can reach out to me on facebook.
