Sixt charged extra's we never asked
We rented a car at Roma Ciampino 18-28 August. The car we booked was a Citroen C4 Cactus. This car wasn’t available anymore. The friendly man behind the desk (Valerio) told us the carwash was closed so the cars would be dirty. As a compensation he said we would get an upgrade but we got a Fiat Qubo from the same category (we looked it up on the website afterwards). He also said we got a GPS for free in the Qubo but it did not work. We when got home we received a bill to pay 90 euros extra!! We noticed there was a “complementary package, protezzione gomme/cristalli” of which was never even spoken of and we certainly did NOT order. Watch out if you book with Sixt, the bill was in Italian so many of you would not understand and the payment would be taken from your Visa. They probably try this often.
