Late deliveries + no customer service = just call the restaurant!
The delivery times have been really inaccurate a few times (like double+) and the last time I used EatStreet. I ordered delivery on a weeknight, and ETA was ~50 minutes, but the order didn’t arrive until 2 hours after ordering. I know that sort of thing sometimes just happens, but I contacted EatStreet through the link on their site and never heard back, which is unacceptable to me. I essentially paid $40+ for leftovers to be delivered and to have some additional chaos in my night with having to scramble around to come up with dinner and clean dishes (with an increasingly insistently whiny hungry kid at my heels). So, a net negative experience (EatStreet should pay me!). I decided to stop ordering through EatStreet and just try to order directly through local restaurants. So far so good.
