Poor customer service and unreliable website
I have been a user of Lyca since 2018 and I was happy with its service until recently I wanted to switch my physical sim to esim. As per Lyca website the process to switch from physical sim to esim is to order a free esim via the website and then you can switch via "Manage account". However this is absolutely useless information as there is no provision to order free esim via the website. When I contacted the customer service, they mention that instructions in the website are irrelevant and that you can only order esim with a new plan and post ordering you can request a switch via customer service and that they will swap the physical sim to esim along with the plan. I followed their entire process, bought a new esim with a recharge plan and then requested customer service for a swap of sim and plan. They swapped only the physical sim to esim and they deleted the plan. When I called again to enquire, a new customer service representative says that once the sim is swapped, the plan would be deleted and this is the standard process. How can this be a standard process when its not documents for customers in any website. All we have to rely is on customer service rep's instructions and that is also not reliable. Why would I purchase a lyca esim with a plan only to lose my entire plan and money. Seems like an indirect way to loot money in the name of sim sawp process. I have been chasing customer service team for more than a month now (both via calls and emails) but no one has come back with helping information. Now I have come to this forum to share my experience so that no one else falls in the same trap.
