Electric Ireland refugee after 30+ years…
I left Electric Ireland after 30+ years as their loyalty didn’t match mine. I signed up for Yuno after checking price comparisons very carefully but I did not read any online reviews. The Yuno app showed that I was using over €5 a day on the first few days after signing up - a 80-100% increase over my current total costs. I used the in-app chat to query this and, while I found the chat app a bit clunky to use on my iPhone (it sent messages before I had finished typing them and I lost the whole chat if I left the window), I spoke to Josh who was very patient and reassuring over a number of chats and picked me up again when the chat dropped. He explained that this was not real or accurate data showing as I had not changed over to the Yuno service yet. This was enough to stop me cancelling the new contract but I do wonder what it means - if it shows usage/costs when I have none, how reliable will the data be when I am actually using the service? But thanks to Josh who kept me on board a while longer. Next day I also got the good news from Yuno about the first Government €150 payment coming in before 15 December. Yay
