At 18 my daughter was very happy to make her first purchase of alcohol... For her birthday party last Friday night. After 30 minutes the fairly extensive and relatively to shelf collection was done and it was time to pay. To my dismay my youngest had wandered off while we were in the cool room. Finding a particular bottle DD had asked to purchase. Thinking DD2 had done well she told us where it was and we promptly collected it. DD is 17 and has to my knowledge not consumed any alcohol in the past. The confrontation with the manager that ensued lining up to pay was most disappointing. Apparently minors are not allowed in the shop while parents are making a purchase. I do understand supplying a minor is an offence, not to mention not the right thing to do in many levels. Time on party day is at a premium, particularly when there is only one parent! I have in the past made purchases from you. That won't happen again! Good bye Gungahlin!
