I shop at Aldi South Lake... probably won't again
I shop at Aldi every week but not South Lake store again. The last time shopping, I was the last one at the checkout before she closed it and I packed my items at the checkout straight into my bags (I didn't have a lot). When I got home I found I didn't have a packet of mince. It was charged on my receipt but I must have left it at the counter. No one was behind me so it didn't go into someone else's bag. I tried immediately to contact the store but there was no contact number or email. Instead I had to go through a customer service who took 4 days to get back to me. They said they checked with the store which was not close to where I live, and they said 'unfortunately the item was not found in the store. . Sorry'..... Its a packet of mince not a shoe and of course it's found in the store, what a pathetic response and not good enough. 3 days to respond. Woollies or Coles, you can at least call straightaway. Obviously the staff have just not thought about it and put it back, nothing written down. I gave them the exact time and amount of the receipt and I know they would have cc tv to check and yet it was just... oh sorry..... I have had bad customer service there before, especially from the Manager at the time who wasn't happy about refunding me for faulty appliance which was still under warranty. Will give them a wide berth in future.
