Watch Out for the Return Flight Additional Payments Charged at the Airport
We checked in to our return flight following the online process and purchased seats, securing an email of confirmation. When we reached the airport we were assertively told that the checking in had not been completed and despite showing emails to the contrary, these were ignored. We were told to pay £20 each or go away as we won't board without payment! It seems that multiple other passengers on the same flight were told the same and all forced to make the additional payment. One family we spoke to were told that despite being able to evidence checking in, etc. they would have to split up from their young children who were clearly distressed. Other passengers helped by moving seats to accommodate them. Absolutely appalling attitude and the only extra work the clerk completed was to print a receipt for the additional payment!
