No telephone support

Recently tried to make a claim online and found the service awful. There was no confirmation to say the claim was being processed and no email or message to know that it was completed. Typically our claim was found to be invalid due to the fact we were honest about our glass sliding windows shattering spontaneously and this isn’t covered by accidental damage. I couldn’t call anyone to discuss why our claim was invalid so had to go through the chat service where I found the agent to be pretty unhelpful. In my response to them I said I would likely cancel the policy in the future but the next thing I know I’ve had a text message saying my policy will now expire on 8th May 2025 which is 6 months before the actual expiry date of the policy. This is so rude! I have never once claimed on a house insurance policy so to have this service has really made me wary of going with these cheaper providers on cost comparison sites. There’s a reason they are cheaper so be warned. Back to proper companies like Aviva, Direct Line and other service providers where you can actually speak to representatives. Lesson learned!
