Very poor service
We hired a floor sander and it broke halfway through the job. Contacted HSS who said that they would refund and we could rebook - which would be fine, these things happen, though of course means that the job will take twice as long. It took HSS two weeks to collect the defective sander, and then a further two weeks of back-and-forth communication before they said that they would not be offering a refund after all. We will be hiring a sander from a different company to complete the job, which will ultimately end up costing us twice the price and twice the time. Avoid at all costs. Edit: HSS said in the reply below that they would be in touch - they did not get in touch (7 days later). Edit in the interests of fairness: HSS later fully refunded the hire cost.
