Hotel cancelled our booking then refused refund!!!
Hotel cancelled bookings then refused refund. Booked to stay in Hotel Piscis, Mallorca for April 2020 and paid in full in Feburary. On 26th March, they emailed to cancel due to Covid-19. They offered credit notes to be used against a holiday to be used by October 2020. For several reasons, this wasn't feasible (not least that they have increased prices for September/October so we can't afford the difference) so asked for a full refund. They refused saying that as I had booked on the basis that it was a non refundable booking in case of cancellation, that no refund was due. They went further to say that the offer of a credit note was beyond what they would normally do as a generous goodwill geture (even though it was the BlueSea Hotels that cancelled and not me). They have since sent emails suggesting the bookings are cancelled but now without even a credit note (presumably as I asked dared to ask for a refund). Sad that I couldn't give less than 1 star!
