I bought a cardigan and contacted customer service because it was shedding an extreme amount of fluff. I shared photos and even a video with them — and despite all that, their response was simply that “this is not a fault.” If a product continues to shed excessively even after the first few washes, to the point that it seriously prevents regular use, it should absolutely be considered a manufacturing defect — or at the very least, a quality issue. A few fibers on some clothes might be acceptable, but when the fluff sticks to sofas, car seats, clothes, and even floats in the air, it's no longer a wearable item. In such cases, a simple “this is normal” response from the brand is far from satisfying. A return, exchange, or at least a voucher should be offered. Because as a customer, you're not just buying a physical item — you're also paying for quality and trust. Update: The team got back to me and resolved the issue successfully.
