Direly incompetent
This company should not be in business. They accepted my neighbours and myself as customers although they had no way of connecting us and no idea how to do this. In the middle of the school holidays last year Wessex closed our road making parking for us and our family visiting with small children difficult or impossible while they dug up the road to lay the full fibre cable. However they did not lay it on our side of the road we now know and their ideas on how to overcome this deficiency have proved unworkable plus they failed to keep us informed of their various failures meaning we have all been waiting many months in decreasing hope of of our promised connection. Our frustration and despair have been exacerbated by the utter lack of communication between sales, cable fitters, installers and every other part of Wessex and this in a small, rural company where one might expect communication to be a strength. The slight mitigation is that all the personnel are extremely courteous and pleasant. We are now meditating formal complaints to the appropriate authorities given that Wessex Internet's incompentence and lack of honest communication have had serious implications to our home based working.
