Not a great experince
My experience seems to be quite different to the other reviewers, perhaps just an unfortunate misunderstanding. I had initially contacted Motorwise who had quoted a certain price which was just under £100. Just for comparison I contacted Scrap Car Comparison who quoted me exactly the same price as Motorwise. A SCC staff member then phoned me and asked questions about mould, panel damage and condition of the bumpers. There were scuff marks to a couple of panels and tape holding a bumper together. They then offered me £25 less and then sent a text message offering £10 less still. Its fair enough that you offer less than the email quote when you hear about the panel marks etc but then to offer less still in a text message is just careless and disorganised. Suffice to say that I went with Motorwise, who arrived with a low loader and didn't even want to look over the car. As the Motorwise person said "it's got four wheels"!! I felt that Scrap Car Comparison were being petty in their valuation. The money from Motorwise was in my account that evening and I got the price initially quoted. As I said, my experince with SCC is possibly a one off but in future I will use Motorwise.
