Irish Tourism - Stellar Experience In Every Respect
Way back in late 2019, my wife and I decided that we wanted to take a trip to Ireland and after doing some research online, contacted Irish Tourism to help us book the arrangements for our self-guided, self-driving tour. We worked directly with Linda Larkin who did a terrific job of listening to our interest areas (history, nature, landscapes, etc., etc., etc.,) and who then synthesized this into a wonderful 10 day itinerary. We (and another couple) were all set to do our trip in May 2020....then Covid hit. The trip had to be postponed indefinitely. Linda assured that our down payment for the trip (about $1500.00 USD) would be preserved as a credit that we could use towards a future re-booking. We initially thought that maybe we would be able to go in late 2020 - then we thought maybe Spring 2021 - then maybe Fall 2021. Who knew it would be Spring 2022 before this trip would occur! When I reached out to Linda in December 2021 to discuss doing the trip, she confirmed that our credit voucher was still good and worked through the rebooking process - Amazingly, the price of our trip remained exactly the same, which was a welcome surprise. We just got back from our trip (April 24, 2022), and it completely exceeded our expectations in virtually every respect. All of the lodging that Linda secured for us was outstanding - clean, professional, friendly and appealing - We were in Killkenny, Kinsale, Killarney, Connemara,and Dublin and passed through Waterford, Cork, Galway/Kinvara and did the Cliffs of Moher, and the Ring of Kerry, and Kylemore Abbey, and Jameson, and Guinness and the list goes on. Every day was full of new sites and stunning scenery and wonderful people - most days involved a Pub (or two!). Everything that Linda set up for us (to include our rental car) was outstanding and we truly felt that the quality of our experience was directly attributable to the knowledgeable professionalism that was consistently on display in all of our interactions with Linda and Irish Tourism. Our trip was a 10 out of 10. Despite the crazy times in which we are all living, it's wonderful to work with travel experts who manage expectations, who listen, and who know the terrain on the ground (particularly when traveling abroad). There were no hiccups, which says a lot for a trip like the one we just completed. In closing, I have nothing but nice things to say about Linda Larkin and Irish Tourism. As I shared with Linda upon my return - "Thanks so much for everything that you did to assure that we had a great trip - We will be back!"
