Terrible service
Terrible service. I traded in a flip 5 in excellent condition only to be told that the frame was damaged and I needed to pay an additional amount. I emailed the company several times (in fact I have lost track how many times) just saying can this be investigated further and can I raise this as an official complaint. Every response just said the phone was broken. Not once did they attempt to investigate (I know this as responses where virtually instant) and they just ignored any mention of an official complaint. I have dealt with Samsung for several years but this is enough for me to move away from their products. I know they use a third party company (MTR) who seem to be the problem (just look at reviews for MTR as they are really bad as well). Samsung need to find a better partner for this as it is damaging their reputation. One word of advice, if you have to use this service make sure you video the device from every angle, showing the IMEI number as well on the screen. Also date stamp and show the phone going into the packaging. I am still not sure that would make a difference but at least its some insurance. Better still just don't use the service, I know I won't use it again. I am happy for Samsung to contact me by phone to discuss how unhappy I am with this (as I couldn't easily find a way to speak to them)
