Premium trip, premium price but not premium quality
I went on a Nepal Bhutan trip in March and it was great. However this month (September 2024) I did a premium Southern Africa. It was so disappointing and definitely not worth the £14,200 GBP I paid for it including single supplement. First my taxi to the start hotel didn't show. I was told to get my own taxi! Some of the hotels weren't great, especially the last one in Maun, Botswana, which tried to put me in a room with no A/C when it was 38 degrees outside. Premium? There were big chunks of the holiday with no Included activities, including a whole day in the middle. I had to pay for a 3 hour game drive (6am to 9am) then there was nothing till a meeting at 6pm. I wanted an (advertised) whole day game drive but it was not available. Finally, due to a lack of water the trip to the salt Pans was far from as advertised... Beware !!! And check the detailed itinerary before booking. I will not be using Intrepid again
