Avoid!! Scammers and Thieves specially Arusha/Kilimanjaro office.
I have a big problem with the company here in Arusha. First of all i wanted to let you guys know that i rented last January a car in Dar from you guys, and also in Zanzibar. The service was really good and i had good trust in the company. But what happened here is ridiculous. I rented for 6 days a toyota harrier here at Arusha. The amount was around 280 dollar for the rent plus 1000 dollar deposit. When we picked up the car at JRO Airport. it took more than a hour to make the papers right and the payments. The employees name is Mr. Peter. He was very slow but oke that's no problem further. Later during the rent i made myself a mistake according to the contract i signed. Because i entered a national park mkomazi for a Rhino tour. We had to drive inside because the tour was inside the park. There i parked the rental car and we hopped on a other car for the tour. I fully admit that i made a mistake with breaking the contract. So mister Clarence the manager of arusha Office tracked us down and directly started to threat us to take the 1k dollar deposit. So after finishing the tour we drove directly out of the park back to Moshi because we didn't want make big problems. We had zero damage and we returned the Harrier shiny and clean back to Arusha office yesterday. There we meet mister Clarence which is a very rude guy. First he told that the payment for the rent didn't came thru on the bank account of auto union. So he asked me to pay again. So i did pay the rent again, but now i see on my creditcard account that i got double charged for the rent. I never got a receipt on my email from the first payment on JRO from dpo. But i got a receipt for the payment yesterday at Arusha office but on my account i got charged double now 2x ±280 dollars. When i showed mr Clarence my account got double charged he said no because i didn't got a receipt on Jro airport. But my creditcard is charged double. I will send you after this explanation the pictures from my account. About the deposit Mr. Clarence wanted me to pay him 500 dollar before i get the 1000 dollar back. Because he said you break the contract and you must pay 500 dollar otherwise they don't return my deposit. Here is where he made me really angry because he was smiling to me really dirty way. Also when my Tanzanian girlfriend tried to talked to him he said racist stuff to my girlfriend. "Like that she don't understand white people" and "she don't need to defend me about this matters" so bottomline is, i got double charged, and i have no deposit back while the car is in perfect condition like how i received it. I never got so much humilated and embarrassed as yesterday at arusha Office. I rented before at Zanzibar and dar with you guys and service was perfect and i fully trusted you guys. Now i lost so much money i'am stuck here at Arusha and have almost no money anymore for my further stay in Tanzania. So could you please try to help me out and find a solution for this matters.
