I have used Travelocity with no issues until…

I have used Travelocity with no issues until COVID-19, my bachelorette party needed to be canceled and I was issued a travel credit for the cancellation. However, because of the time limit on the credit and other factors, I needed a cash refund. Travelocity follows the policies of the airlines you book through, I booked American flights. Lucky for me, American changed my flights a few times by a couple of hours and it went from a non-stop flight to a connection. I read up on the policy before calling about the refund. After being on the phone with Travelocity for over an hour, the agent informs me that no, I am not eligible for a refund. We continue to argue for a few minutes until he states that he did talk to someone from American and according to them I am not eligible for the cash refund. Confused, I decided to call American to get clarification, within 5 minutes of being on the phone the American agent confirms that I am eligible for a cash refund. When I called Travelocity back and informed them of this, my refund was put in place a lot faster. I will only be booking through American from now on for being so quick and honest with their help. I don't think Travelocity even tried to call American.
