We picked up the car in Adelaide and…

We picked up the car in Adelaide and dropped it in Sydney. There was no problem with dropping it off, but picking it up was not a great experience, there was no shuttle from the airport and we had to get a taxi (which we were reimbursed for) then upon arrival at the Adelaide branch, we waited ages to receive our car, the one and only gentleman who seemed to be checking out the cars was very flustered and seemed to spend a lot of time achieving nothing. By the time we left there were a number of people waiting. I am assuming they were short staffed on this day, but if that had been explained rather then having to watch and listen to the stress of someone who was obviously not having a good day. The car itself was not what I thought we'd be getting, it had dents and dings and broken bits but it did work and was reliable enough, and I know it was not expensive compared to other companies.
