Where do I start… I needed to change my flights due to personal reasons, around 3.5 weeks before my flight. Joined live chat and started the process- I was told it was £60. Perfect, I paid it and waited for my new tickets within 10 mins I was then told the seats have increased and it’s £205… unhappy with this but feeling like I’m over a barrel I agree.. I get a payment link for £205.. I query this, I’ve already paid the £60 so it should be £145. I get told prices have increased again.. all this is in the space of 20 mins on a Sunday afternoon and it’s now £240. I request a refund of the £60 as I can book the same flights I want for £320 on their own website and say I will contact my bank. Live chat ends. I get an email asking me if I want to cancel or do I want to change flights? I send the same flights and get a payment link for £265! £200 increase in the space of 30 mins and double what I had already paid and £150 more than the flights are for sale in real time. So I contact easyJet out of interest, they tell me and it’s very easy to find on the website, that they charge a maximum of £50 per flight, per change. So why does alternative airlines feel it’s acceptable to double this charge and add an additional £65 on top!? Scammers! My bank is doing a chargeback, appalling way to run a company. I have screen shots of all of the above.
