Injury from defective flip-flops — CROCS refuses responsibility
I bought a pair of CROCS flip-flops ("Iconic Comfort" line) and after just 30 minutes of casual walking, I ended up with open wounds on my toes. The sandals have a sharp rubber ridge on the upper straps — a clear manufacturing flaw — which caused the damage. I sent photos and a full explanation to CROCS customer service. Their response? They refused to refund or accept a return because the item was "used". They completely ignored the fact that the defect only became apparent during normal use, which is exactly what consumer protection laws are meant to cover. Instead, they closed the case without taking any real interest in resolving the issue. I’ve owned similar sandals for decades with zero issues. CROCS, a brand that claims to sell "comfort", has shown zero concern for customer safety or satisfaction. Avoid at all costs — and don’t expect help if something goes wrong. I’ve filed a complaint with the European Consumer Centre and will continue to pursue this.
