After sales is still so bad
Just saw I reviewed almost two years ago about the bad aftersales, nothing has changed. Don't get me wrong, Cruise1st do some great deals and the chap we use to book all the time is excellent, but, when you want to make even the smallest change it's exhausting. Firstly there is no phone number where it could be done right away, secondly, when you email it can take two days to get a response, and when you reply to that more days. The holiday with hotel added on was booked over 18 months in advance, before cabins, flights, hotels allocated etc and is still being sold on TV and online. I contacted them to ask to change the end destination from NYC to Vegas, first they say there is a fee for this, then with all the to-ing and fro-ing they come back with a price that was way, way higher than on screen, so high that it would be cheaper to cancel, lose my deposit and rebook, when I asked why it was because the onscreen offers are for 'new bookings' this was practically new, again, if the cruise was a few weeks away so it involved changed you could understand, but over a year and a half is not great. Despite this, we have others booked with Cruise1st and others I book independently with Cruise lines who don't add charges on to make the smallest of changes. I probably will look to book with Cruise1st in the future but will also look at others now are offer price promises or are a little more amenable.
