As homeowners
As homeowners, the scariest home remodeling project you can face is a roof replacement. When you hear the dreaded words, “you need a new roof,” your heart starts to race, you immediately worry about the financial burden, and you simply pray that you can find a reliable, honest company to complete the work. In our search, my husband and I contacted a couple of companies to secure quotes. Initially, we were very pleased with Power Home Remodeling Group. Your company sent over two specialists who conducted a highly informative presentation that lasted for over four hours. The sales rep. initially quoted us approximately $50,000.00 for a package that included a replacement roof board, asphalt shingles, fascia, gutters, and a new door. Throughout the presentation, he steadily reduced the rate, ultimately bringing it down to the mid-to-high $20k range—though this reduced price dropped the new door and only included the roof board, shingles, fascia, and gutters. My husband and I repeatedly informed the sales rep. that we needed more time to review our financial situation. However, after he heavily emphasized how urgently the work needed to be done, we ultimately agreed to move forward with just the gutters and fascia. This decision was made with the explicit understanding that we would complete the actual roof replacement this summer when our finances were more certain. We clearly informed him that we planned to move forward with the roof replacement in July 2026. Today, June 20th, with a clearer view of our finances, we were ready to move forward with the roof. We scheduled a follow-up appointment to get the final price quote. To our absolute surprise, the price quoted today for just the roof was nearly identical to the original final quote we were given for the entire package. If we have already paid for and had our gutters and fascia completed by your company, why is the price for the roof exactly the same? If the price was going to remain identical, the sales rep. should never have suggested breaking up the project. He should have advised us to wait until we were ready to do the entire roof at once. At this point, it is entirely evident that the sales rep. misled us and was not transparent about the fact that we would essentially be paying for the gutters and fascia twice. He did an extraordinary job of convincing us that your company is honorable. The presentations shown to us emphasize that Power Home Remodeling Group prides itself on professionalism, honor, and quality craftsmanship—qualities that gave my husband and me the confidence that we were in trustworthy hands. What is now clear to us is that the qualities your company prides itself on do not exist in the way you advertise them. We feel deeply frustrated and betrayed by this experience.
