How to get a refund....
I had booked to travel to Sri Lanka for the cricket, but that changed because of Covids. The airline promised a refund, but for 6 months kept assuring me it was being dealt with. Finally, I issued a legal threat "If this payment is not received within the next 10 days, upon legal advice received, this will become a legal matter initially in the form of a Small Claims procedure. You will notice that I have copied this correspondence to both The Civil Aviation, your regulator and operator of the ATOL protection scheme, and to Saroja Sirisena the Sri Lankan High Commissioner. Please demonstrate some belated professionalism and sense of customer responsibility and resolve this matter immediately. They then refunded me. Clearly they think they can just fob 90% of people off and they will go away. The minority who cut up rough, they pay back. They are a disgrace and I will never use them again...I suggest a similar course of action for others who are having unsatisfactory experiences.
