Today I visited the Warner Robins, GA location on Watson Blvd. I went in for a strand of beads. There has been many times I have visited this location and honestly I despise going because there is ALWAYS only one person checking out and being a veteran supervisor in retail customer service, I know this is not fair to the waiting customers, nor the employee. This has happened on more than one occasion. Today there was an employee recovering the strong bead aisle. I went to check out and of coarse a line with 5 people waiting. I went back to the employee on the floor hanging beads and asked was she checking out, her response was "no I don't have a register". I saw another employee two aisle back(The Store Manager Trish)and asked her was she checking out. She said no Conner is up there, and I said WOW, ok, he has a line. I went back to the line where I had lost my place going to get help and waited. Trish, the store manager, came up front to the office to get on the store phone and saw the line and still did not make an effort to help her cashier. Conner was great, I would definitely hire him but I was highly disappointed in the service of the STORE MANAGER. Your customers should always come first, if I was a mystery shopper for Micheals, Trish would have been counselled for lack of performing superior customer service. Explain to me how stocking your shelves, and recovering your store is more important than your customers who a waiting in long lines, witnessing you put your merchandise before their service. I rated 2 stars because the store was clean, neat and organized of coarse(that seems to be the focus here) and Conner was great. I was not greeted when I walked in (-1) and the fact that the SM was asked to help and she didn't & saw Conners line and still refused to help(-2). Don't claim excellence in customer service and satisfaction when your store managers don't value this.
