Existing customer cannot move to Dual Fuel Smart
I signed up with Yuno Energy to be my electricity supplier in August 2024. I moved just the electricity portion of my existing dual fuel plan from my existing supplier because Yuno Energy did not offer gas at the time. I did mention this scenario on the sales call. I was subsequently excited to see that Yuno Energy also started offering the supply of gas. Today I phoned in hoping to move to the Dual Fuel Smart plan, since I was actually on a dual fuel plan prior to moving to Yuno Energy, but gas was not offered at the time of sign up. Unfortunately I got told that I cannot sign up or move to the Dual Fuel Smart plan because that is for new customers and I will need to sign up for the gas portion separately. The separate Yuno Energy gas rates are higher than the Yuno Energy Dual Fuel Smart gas rates and are also higher than those of my current supplier, so it does not make sense to move anymore. One would have thought that it would be easy for existing customers to move to the new Dual Fuel Smart plan when offering the new gas product, but this is not the case.
