Great service and vehicle. Recommend
When we got to the counter they had upgraded us from a Suski to a Mitsubishi hybrid. It was a great 4WD and had no issues. Smooth ride even on rough roads and got good gas mileage. It was supposed to charge as you drove but did not experience much added battery power. We purchased the WiFi which I recommend. We also purchased additional insurance. There are gravel parts even on the Ring Road and other drivers are not particularly good at controlling doors in high winds. Early September gave us rain, snow, sleet and high winds. The SUV did great. I recommend as other tourists may not be used to driving in these conditions so it could be dicey. The staff are very friendly and helpful, giving good suggestions and warnings. They know their country to best to take it all in. Recommend getting a couple apps on your phone to help and Lava will send out text warnings if there are road conditions to know about. Safe Travel-Iceland and Vedur are Apple apps we used a lot. I believe the cost for 2 weeks was reasonable for all we got and knowing they were there if we had a problem. We did the ring road and spent two weeks traveling. Highly recommend.
