the story of the Week
This will have to the story of the week. Well is true facts - I was frustrated with my network provider so saw all the ads for Origin Internet and thought let's make a change so I contacted by chatline and after a very long time and frustration with the person I decided not to continue - I thought it might be better to ring them and speak to someone in person because I wanted internet and also a home phone line with the existing no. that I had - I spoke to a woman and after a discussion I agreed to the changeover and gave her my debit card to pay for the shipping of the modem. As I was listening to the description of the modem I explained to her that this modem is not compatible with my home phone and also realised that she hadn't added this to the package - so I told her to cancel the package as this wasn't going to work (I even made her check to see if the modem was correct and that she had added on the home line to the package) she was so confused that she didn't know the answer so I told her to cancel the package and this was recorded - which benefitted me I thought. However I then realised that the package had been processed so on the same day I contacted the company again by chatline and they apologised and said that would fix it. Actually that was a waste of time because they didn't fix it - and amazingly this was all in writing and on their chatline for them to investigate the matter. So now I have cancelled three times and still the package is continuing. I finally rang the company again the next day and after the gentleman checking my information and their records he told me not to worry he would fix it. I was so relieved but you guessed this wasn't the case - I then received emails that suggested that I had continued the package and also I had received a new home phone no. (which I never wanted - I was so direct with them in regards porting my old number from my other provider - as this was easily able to be done - I actually had confirmed this with my previous provider) so I again then got back in contact with the company and the gentleman went and did his research and came back to me to let me know that it was being fully investigated and someone would contact me but I then received a message that a package was arriving the same day and I would have to acknowledge this - The courier arrived with the package and I denied it and asked it to be sent back to the sender and he left. But it got even ridiculous - I received an email from Australia Post that the package was at their post office and that I had so many days to pick it up (I am exhausted and frustrated and now I am furious) I contacted the post office and explained the situation and the lady on the other line told me that it was a mistake on their part and that they had been informed to return it to the sender - Hallelujah. I am now laughing because this whole experience is ridiculous and absurd. I am now awaiting for Origin to confirm that this whole package has been cancelled. I personally would never have anything to do with this company again. But do you believe my electricity and gas accounts are with them and I have been very satisfied with this.
