Hacked, hijacked, and ignored – Meta is failing completely
My Instagram account was hacked. The attacker changed my email, my password, and started posting scam content pretending to be me. That alone is a nightmare – but it gets worse: The hacker also linked their own Meta account to mine, and now I can’t even remove it. I’m locked out of critical features, and Meta offers ZERO tools to fix this. I’ve spent hours trying everything: recovery forms, help pages, reporting the account – and nothing worked. Just useless forms and dead ends. Not a single real human response. For a company with billions in resources, this level of customer support is beyond disgraceful. My name is being abused for scams and Instagram just lets it happen. Meta is not just incompetent – it is actively failing to protect its users. If your account gets hacked, you're completely on your own. So better think twice before trusting Instagram with anything.
