Speaky – Great Idea, Terrible Execution The concept behind Speaky is actually promising: a platform to connect with native speakers and learn languages through real conversations. Unfortunately, the reality is quite different. Instead of genuine language partners, you mostly receive spammy or inappropriate requests—often from people who don’t even speak the language you want to learn. The matching system seems broken, as you can wait for hours without anyone willing to talk. And if you take the first step, you risk being labeled a scammer. Conclusion: Great idea, but terrible execution. Without better moderation and protection against spam, Speaky remains practically useless. A wasted opportunity!
