Awesome Kenzi Club Agdal Hotel and Marrakesh Trip…
Just returned from an amazing 7 week trip to Marrakesh staying at the beautiful Kenzi Club Agdal nestled near the Atlas Mountains. Played golf at the beautiful Samanah Golf and Country Club where we were offered a 2 month membership with lockers and buggies. More on that in another review. The best thing about our stay at the Kenzi Club Agdal in Marrakesh was the amazing friendliness and genuine affection my wife and I received from day one from the staff all the way down from the managers, reception to the bell hops, the restaurant staff, and the entertainers and dancers. They ensured you were catered for in all aspects. Their warmth shone through and every one of them had a story to tell displaying their amazing humour and personality. Team players. Could not do enough. Smiles everywhere. Happiness in the sun. I will name a number of them whose simple philosophy on life made us feel humble and honoured to be a part of their family. Take Abdul who oversees the excursion kiosk wanted to close the borders of Marrakesh so we couldn’t leave. Awesome. Zouhair the manager was always on hand, and we became friends. Beautiful human being. Not forgetting Ali and the reception staff. And the unforgettable Younis a beautiful man. One of the managers along with Zouhair. Apologies if I have missed anyone out. Khalil, Mehdi, Utman, Ismail were always wanting to help and always on hand to help with transporting you and your luggage in the hotel buggies. They would go out of their way to help you. Friends for life. The hotel is set in 10 hectares of land where there are over 900 riad type accommodation all equipped for your first-class luxury and ultimate comfort. Balconies in the sun. Spotless and clean and linen and towel changes every day. Bottles of water provided. Two bathrooms in many of the rooms. In the restaurant you have Fetah, Younis, Yousef, young Ishmail, Mohammed the manager all looking after you. There are some names I do not recall but there were so many my head was spinning. The food was diverse and delicious. Theme nights were offered. Asian. Moroccan. French. Italian. The main bars were the poolside bar. And the Club Agdal Bar which always had a variety of entertainment and you were encouraged to join in on the dancing. Singers of amazing quality. All hand selected following audition process so you are getting professionals. The entertainers, singers and dancers included the amazing talented AMINE, MARIO, USAMA and others all getting you involved in the club bar and the Columbian Dancers and Drummers were incredible. Not forgetting our wonderful cleaner and room maid, HASNA. What a wonderful young lady with huge personality and a smile to match. And special thanks to our driver MONCEF who drove us to our golf course every second day and took us on trips. Including breaking bread with him and his wife and 3 lovely children. We became a part of the Moroccan culture and are blessed. So lucky to have experienced this adventure which will be repeated in October and next year in March and April. We have been to many countries, but Morocco/Marrakesh top the list. Nowhere comes close.
