Awful experience in NCP Southport
Awful experience in NCP Southport. NCP sent £100 penalty (case ref: ZP74362666) for underpayment of parking at an ANPR automated payment machine? My son put the car reg in the machine and paid the amount it stated using contactless. It is £0.95 per hour and it charged £1.95 - so just over 2 hour stay, yet NCP demand £100 penalty as its ANPR says car was there 2hrs 13mins - so fining £100 for £0.15 on an automated system the customer has no control other. Several others have complained the same has happened to them, even one story in Liverpool Echo in Feb, and yet NCP does nothing to fix a system which must be malfunctioning. Not the first time we've had problems with these ridiculous automated ANPR systems - they are fallible.
