Long waits and lack of care
Recently adopted a dog and wanted to take her for a check up. Booked in at Ashton branch, was waiting 40 minutes past the appointment time before we ended up leaving. One woman came in and said she was really early as her appointment wasn't for another hour and she was next to be called in. This happened a couple of times where people who came in after us Reception staff need a course in customer service. I stood at the desk to ask if the computer had checked me in correctly. I had to wait a couple of minutes while they both totally blanked me and gave no acknowledgement of me, even when one FINALLY said “can I help you” she barely looked up from the computer. I went to the receptionist again just before we left, while I was waiting to be acknowledge yet again, my partner found a tablet on the floor, picked it up and angrily said “theres medication all over the floor!” Zero response from the receptionist, they didnt seem bothered at all. I mentioned it again and they just aid “oh” and when I said wed been waiting over 30mins and had to go she said we would be next in after the patient they just called in. I asked how long it would be “I dont know” why bother having appointments? Would not recommend this vets, will be looking to register with another one. If they cant be bothered to pick up or check medication on the floor I dont think its a safe environment to begin with. My dog was getting agitated from waiting so long and my autistic partner was getting overwhelmed. They dont seem to have any get up and go and dont seem bothered about pets at all.
