NOT AS WELL ORGANISED AS AUDLEY AFRICA
After having a 5star experience around africa last year with audley we gave them the opportunity to arrange an India tour , we have 4 days left and will be leaving very disappointed on the whole the quality of hotels they have put us in have been substandard . We told them we liked good 5 star botique hotels were possible and money was never an issue. 1.claridges delhi , could be a lovely hotel but in need of a lot of tlc on the outside of the building and the balconies.We paid for a diplomatic suite but the outside balcony was unusable as it was a building site..Breakfast was first class 2Courtyard by marriot deluxe room .Arrived only to be told it was a room with no outside balcony, so we paid £60 a night to upgrade to a balcony room...Breakfasts were awful. 3.Ranthanbore kothi hotel ..A terrible experience , it was obvious when we arrived the air con in the room was broken , i told them 3 times and they assured us it was being repaired , at 11pm at night they eventually offered us a 8x7 ft room with no windows to sleep in ,until the next day were they moved us to a lovely suite.Not acceptable and despite telling audley india we had to sort it all ourselves. 4.JAIPUR samode havelli hotel , hevelli suite , a superb 5 star hotel 5.MUMBAI trident nariman point hotel , a lovely 5 star hotel 6.GOA taj fort aguada deluxe room sea view..On arriving we were shown to our so called deluxe room and again no outside balcony and it had a pungant smell to it , we told them we wanted moving and were refusing to stay in that for 6 nights , i contacted audley india and told them to speak to the hotel or move hotels for us , who goes to the beach for a week and is not able to relax from your rooms . Audley took 24 hrs to get back to us and said i hope your happy in your new room , WHICH I WAS LEFT TO SORT MYSELF AGAIN.this is a 3/4 star hotel at best , the taj hotel next door is miles better which we were never offered So all in all its been a really disappointing travelling experience and next years trip to america we will arrange ourselves , im convinced that the audley reps in india whom are sorting these hotels out are not visiting them enough UPDATE ON THIS REVIEW .. after speaking to catherine at audley on our return we had long discussions with her and i believe audley have told the claridgies hotel , and rathanbore kothi about our issues ..we have come to an agreement with audley and thank them for their imput into rectifying the issues so nobody else should experience what we did at these 2 hotels..... The after sales service since we returned has been first class
