The application process was fairly straight forward and went quite smoothly. However, from day one of moving in the heating was not working. The same week we find out that beneath the en-suite shower base had rotted through and needed replacing. The bath and toilet in the guest bathroom were leaking. None of this was brought to my attention before taking the flat. The builders "completed" the job yesterday. I used the shower for the first time after having moved in two and a half months ago to find there is only luke warm water. It appears to me the faucet is either faulty or the builders have set it up incorrectly (this is my guess but I will update soon with what actually happened). Furthermore, the builders (contracted by Daniels) had damaged a couple of new and expensive items of mine. They also left the flat in a right state walking mud over the carpet. On one occasion they appear to have been mixing grout in my kitchen sink and left a thick amount of dried and wet grout where I prepare food. There were also splash marks of grout all over a brand new toaster. Builders never thought once to tidy up after themselves. Daniels offered to clean the flat for me but I can't bring myself to share that space with any more of their contractors right now. Happy to clean myself.
