Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service I bought a pair of trainers at the Peckham store which I really liked. When I got them home I realised that one trainer had a scuff mark on it so I promptly took them back to the store the next morning. I was speaking with the lady who was the Manager who told me that they were the last pair in stock but I could exchange them for a different colour. Of course if I wanted a different colour I would have bought them. This is where the problem really started. I was told I could not get a refund as I paid in cash and they did not have cash in store. Apparently the system was down so they could not look online but then she told me that they also run out of stock online. If I wanted I could travel to another branch miles away from me and pick up a pair from them. I asked if they could be delivered to me for the inconvenience and she said no, they could only do that on online orders. I then asked due to the damage I would consider keeping them for a discount which she declined saying she would get in trouble. When I questioned her about being the Manager she confirmed this and still would not give me any discount. She went further saying that she could not prove that they left the store in that condition. I argued that they had clearly had not been worn and as a working professional I would have preferred not to be in the position I am in. How dare she accuse me of damaging them and then bring them back!!! I do not need the money. I wanted a different pair or a discount as when buying a new pair of trainers you expect them in a perfect condition. I said to the Manager that you clearly could see that the trainer were scuffed and she had the cheek to say to me that it was the stitching, I have never been so gaslighted in my life. I tried to go on Live chat but this proved next to impossible due to live chat being in EST. I then called the customer service number and there is not a digit you can press to make a complaint so I pressed 4 until I got to speak to Jamshid. I was on the phone for 28 minutes and then conveniently got cut off. I have never experienced such shocking customer service to the point that I feel that i had no choice but to write this review. This could have easily been managed, Jd Sports, get your act together and stop taking your customers for granted.
