Terrible experience with Discover Airlines – never again
We booked a flight with Discover Airlines from Frankfurt to Kilimanjaro airport on July 1st. Despite booking together, we were seated one behind the other instead of next to each other. The check-in staff told us it was impossible to change this unless we upgraded to business class – for an additional €600. Reluctantly, we paid, simply to be able to sit together on a 9-hour flight. Shortly after, the flight was cancelled. Their proposed alternative? A flight two days later – completely unacceptable. After hours of negotiation, we were finally rebooked on a flight from Amsterdam on July 2nd. We had to pay over €500 for a taxi to get there, and none of it was reimbursed. Customer service was non-existent – no help, no compensation, no responsibility. In the end, we flew economy with KLM, and had to pay over €1,000 extra to make the trip happen. This was by far the worst airline experience we’ve ever had. We are taking legal action. Avoid this airline at all costs. Absolutely disgraceful.
